Our client, a leading insurance group at Lloyds, the world's specialist insurance market, is seeking a Business Partner in their Underwriting Operations function.

You will be responsible for the risk administration service delivery (data quality and timeliness) by the Company's Outsourced Business Partner, and Underwriting Operations to the Political Risks and Political Violence teams.


  • Oversight of the risk administration Standard Operating Procedures, process flow charts and controls relevant to the Political Risks and Political Violence Underwriting Teams.
  • Act as the key contact, co-ordinator and point of escalation between the Political Risks and Political Violence Underwriting Teams, Underwriting Operations and the Outsourced Business Partner.
  • Respond to queries from all stakeholders to ensure an efficient service is delivered.
  • Attend / lead meetings as required with relevant stakeholders.
  • Responsibility for the management and training of the Underwriting Operations Team members who support the Political Risks and Political Violence Underwriting Teams.
  • Standardise services alongside other Underwriting Operations Business Partners who are responsible for different Underwriting Teams, to create flexibility in operational support model during peak periods and business needs.
  • Identify opportunities to automate or outsource further tasks and follow governance processes and testing associated with the changes.
  • Monitor daily / weekly / monthly KPIs.
  • Coordinate shared email boxes supporting the Political Risks and Political Violence Underwriting Teams.
  • Monitor data quality entry by the Outsourced Business Partner and Underwriting Operations Assistants via sample checks and exceptions reports.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Full familiarity with London Market Insurance processes and systems (bureau and non-bureau).
  • Knowledge of Business Partner Outsourcing to transfer and monitor tasks on and offshore.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products.
  • Had previous experience of technical authorship of Standard Operating Procedures, process maps and controls.
  • Analytic capabilities to action exception reports, track and report KPI progress.
  • GCSE Maths grade B or above or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 other GCSE's grade C or above.
